My music video choice
I have chosen the song I wish I was a punk rocker by Sandi Thom for my music video, as I feel this song has a good tempo and beat to it as well as great lyrics that could help us produce a narrative music video.
Also the song has female vocals so we will be able to include lip syncing in our music video.
As well as this the official music video for this song isn't very good and the artist is not that well known which will give us an advantage when producing our music video.
I wish I was a punk rocker - Sandi Thom Lyrics
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In seventy-seven and sixty-nine revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
When the head of state didn't play guitar
Not everybody drove a car
When music really mattered and when radio was king
When accountants didn't have control
And the media couldn't buy your soul
And computers were still scary and we didn't know everything
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In seventy-seven and sixty-nine revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
When pop stars still remained a myth
And ignorance could still be bliss
And when god saved the queen she turned a whiter shade of pale
My mom and dad were in their teens
And anarchy was still a dream
And the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In seventy-seven and sixty-nine revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
When record shops were still on top
And vinyl was all that they stocked
And the super info highway was still drifting out in space
Kids were wearing hand me downs
And playing games meant kick arounds
And footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In seventy-seven and sixty-nine revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care

Star Image: Adele
I have chosen to do my research on Adele as when she first started singing in 2006 she was very similar to Kate Nash.
Adele can be found under many genres such as soul, R&B and pop.
She first became known in 2006 after a friend posted a demo of her singing on Myspace.
She was then offered a recording contract by XL Recordings.
Her first album "19" was released in 2008 and was certified four times platinum in the UK and two times in the US proving it to be a huge success. Also in 2008 Adele won BBC sound of 2008 and The Brits Critics choice award.
This was one of Adeles first interviews at The Brit awards in 2008. This shows her image in 2008.
Adele is very down to earth and her music and image make her like able not only by teenagers but by people from all ages and backgrounds.
Also Adele plays the guitar, piano percussion etc which makes her popular with many serious musicians.
However the majority of Adele's fanbase is female and Adele appeals to her fans because her songs are about relationships and love. Here is a video of her singing Rolling in the deep at the grammys 2012.
Adele has changed her style from 2008 and has chosen a more classy and sophisticated look. It is very unique which has made Adele's image more well known. Also as her look is so different she is becoming a style icon.
Adele has been in the press a lot about her weight and has been called " too fat" as few times.
However Adele feels she is representing the majority of women and is happy about the way she looks. She says she would still dress elegant if she had a skinny figure and says "my music is for ears not eyes". Here is a link to a interview of Adele speaking about her weight.

Overall I think Adele has changed her image by wearing more sophisticated clothing and becoming a style icon as well as losing some weight. However I think that she has stayed true to herself and has kept her music about the singing and is proud of how she looks and likes being different to other stars.
